If you didn’t grow up more than around 30 years ago, then you’ll probably have no idea what this thing is. No, it’s not something to wash your shoes or hands – it’s actually a water fountain! We remember the days of crowding around this thing, trying to get a sip. It was complete mayhem just to get a few drops of water in.

It was almost impossible to get some water from these things, especially on a hot day. Most kids will ask why we didn’t just get a water bottle, but those things were a luxury back in the day! You even had to ask permission to go to one of these. You couldn’t just hydrate during a class. Yep, that’s right, we had to ask permission to drink water! I still have war flashbacks from those days.
