#70: Top Cat
In 1961-62, Top Cat dazzled ABC viewers with its charming gang of Manhattan alley cats, led by Top Cat himself. This Hanna-Barbera sitcom, costing $21,000 per episode, drew inspiration from the 1940s’ East Side Kids, spanning one season and thirty episodes.

Top Cat took creative cues from ‘The Phil Silvers Show,’ reimagining its con-man antics in a feline world of alleyway adventures. Its soundtrack, crafted by Hoyt Curtin, added a memorable touch to this unique blend of comedy and animation.
