In 1969, after founding Malpaso Productions and grieving co-founder Irving Leonard’s death, Clint Eastwood and Leonard had planned for Malpaso’s first film, Play Misty for Me. In the 1970s, Kelly’s Heroes became Clint’s final film outside Malpaso.

1971 marked a significant shift for Clint Eastwood as he embraced the dual role of director and star for the psychological thriller Play Misty For Me. The film centers on a radio DJ ensnared by a dangerously obsessive fan.
