The film M*A*S*H was made in 1970, based on a book by Richard Hooker. Back in the ’70s, everybody loved it, and it made a ton of money, like $81.6 million! It even won an Oscar and some other awards.

They filmed it on the beautiful hiking trails of Malibu. People still go there hoping to see stuff left from the set, like military vehicles or signs. The movie was so great that Fox made a super-popular TV show based on it. The director, Robert Altman, wasn’t into the show at all, even though he made the movie. He once said he hadn’t even watched a whole episode!
