#26: X-Men
Set Piece: The X-Mansion
Location: Colwood, British Columbia, Canada
Production Budget: $75 million*
The X-Mansion, also called Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, was a big deal in the X-Men movies. Good news for comic book buffs: It’s a real place! Well, in the movies, at least. The X-Mansion is actually Hatley Castle, a fancy 40-room mansion built in the baronial style.

Hatley Castle is located in Colwood, British Columbia. It has existed since the early 1900s and has had its fair share of movie roles. Besides being the X-Men’s hangout, it also served as Lex Luthor’s pad in Smallville and the Osborn Estate in the Spider-Man trilogy. Pretty cool, huh?
