#6: Jurassic Park
Set Piece: Various Set Locations
Location: Kauai, Hawaii, USA
Production Budget: $63 million*
With a staggering $912 million, Jurassic Park shattered all expectations producers had for the film. It held the record for four years until Titanic came along in 1997. After two years of planning, they filmed in California and Hawaii, wrapping up the outdoor scenes in just three weeks.

The movie blew everyone’s mind with its special effects, which were super advanced at the time. People said it changed how movies were made. You can visit some of the filming locations today but don’t expect to find many set pieces because a lot of the dinosaur scenes were done in a studio.
