Car safety has certainly come a long way since the 1950s. Back in the day, most cars didn’t even come with seatbelts. If you’re wondering how babies used to ride in cars, here’s your answer. This is a ‘50s-era car seat. No, we’re not kidding. This simple contraption hooks onto the back of the seat and is made of only a few steel bars.
