#28: The Overhyped Southern Border Stop
South of the Border gas station in South Carolina is a quintessential example of overrated attractions. Straddling the Carolinas’ divide, its singular trait is being slightly south of the border, coupling a restaurant with heavy, somewhat unenjoyable camp.

Ideally, South of the Border should just be a quick pit-stop for gas and food en route to more captivating destinations. Despite its hype, at its core, it remains just another gas station.
