#10: Front Desk Friends
If we’re learning anything from this list, it’s that front desk staff members deal with a lot, and we should all be nicer to them. They’re the ones who meet and interact with literally everyone staying at their hotel. It has to be exhausting to constantly deal with rude and entitled people. That’s why they’ll go the extra mile for nice guests every time.
One person shared that they work for a big-name hotel chain and are always willing to give friendly guests perks like free bottles of wine, cookies, and late check-ins. Can we stay where this person works, please?! They also confessed that it never hurts to try and talk down the room rate. As long as you’re not obnoxious about it, your chances for a discount are pretty good.
