#12: Hidden Treasure
Another former hotel housekeeper shared that people leave things behind in rooms all the time, and there’s a good chance you could find something interesting in your room if you search. Housekeeping generally only gets about 15 minutes to clean each room, so they don’t notice many left-behind things. That’s where opportunity comes knocking for new guests.
This person encouraged everyone to snoop around their own hotel rooms to see what they find. They even said to “rip the room apart” (their quote, not ours) to see if you can find any cash, jewelry, or other goodies. Obviously, put everything back in order after you’re done searching, and don’t break anything! If you do this at enough hotels, you’re bound to find something cool.
