#41: You’ve been around for generations
Kids don’t always know their boundaries, and they aren’t afraid to ask the tough questions. They don’t do it to be mean, they just don’t understand that some things are private and some questions are unacceptable in our modern-day society. One of these questions is asking someone (particularly, older people) how old they are. Us adults know that’s not an acceptable question, but children are curious in their nature.

Ella makes a good point – Santa has been around for generations, and she’s probably worried he doesn’t have a lot of time left. She wants to know how old he is, so that she can rest assured he’ll be around for a long time. She also wants to know what happens if he gets sick on Christmas (after all, it happens to the best of us) – and who’s going to be in charge of delivering joy and presents? This kid has some serious concerns.
