Googly-eyed Stanley Kubrick fans will get super excited about the Easter Eggs that were dropped in the film Passengers. The interesting part about it is that they’re actually referring to The Shining because Morten Tyldum, the director, is a huge Kubrick fan and thought the world should know how much he appreciates his work via his set design.

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, and to start, the robo-tender actually looks a whole lot like the bartender from The Shining. He’s even got the bowtie and waistcoat look going on – his outfit is nearly exactly the same. You can also notice that the ship’s bar has the same carpet as well as the carpet in the hallway in the Overlook Hotel.
