Sensory Rejection Dysphoria
This person always felt extremely sensitive to rejection of any sort, but didn’t know why they felt that way. Later on in life, they learned that they have Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria, or RSD. According to the Cleveland Clinic, RSD is when someone experiences intense emotional and physical pain because of a failure or a feeling of rejection.

RSD is commonly linked to ADHD, possibly because of a difference in the brain’s structure. This person’s experience with RSD is very painful. They would feel intense pain whenever they got something wrong in school or if someone didn’t like the same thing they did. They aren’t able to brush these things off and instead spiral into their emotions.
