#27: New Year, New Me
Lizards go through a process of self-reflection and transformation a few times a year. Okay, not really, but they do shed their skin quite often. Baby lizards will shed their entire skins a few times a year because they’re growing. It’s not something the average person sees on a daily basis.

Thankfully, we have this photograph of how the process goes down. This tiny lizard is perfectly shedding its skin. It looks like one lizard is walking out of the mouth of another, but it’s just the old skin falling off. This photo might gross out some people, but hey, it’s part of life. Thankfully, lizards are pretty private when this happens. Most of us won’t see this as we’re walking down the street.
