I was finishing up college by the time it became common for people to bring laptops to class. Up until that point, it was all paper and pen, all the time. And because we were stuck in long, boring classes with only our notebooks and pens to entertain us, we got really creative with what we had at hand.

Everyone doodled, and if you couldn’t draw, you just made the Stüssy S. We got good at folding paper into fun shapes. And then we took it to the next level by folding our notes into fun shapes, like these little paper footballs. We were all so crafty back then.
