Even today, most people still remember ‘NSync and the Backstreet Boys. This is probably because the Backstreet Boys recently did a reunion tour and because Justin Timberlake is still pretty well known, but it’s also probably because they were so huge and ubiquitous back in the day.

But what some people forget is that they were not the first boy bands. No, boy bands stretch back many years into the past, and before ‘NSync and Backstreet Boys were cool, we had New Kids on the Block. Fun fact: one of the band members was Donnie Wahlberg, brother of Mark and the guy who played that creepy dude at the beginning of The Sixth Sense.
