These trousers were known as Plus 10’s, a variation on the golfing underwear, Plus 4’s. Essentially, the number would increase for how many inches below the knee the pants would sit. At the time, these pants were all the rage, and every boy and man wanted to be seen in a pair of them. Almost fitted out like a suit, the complete look was admired by many.
