These days, women are more aware of the ridiculous expectations placed on them and have a greater ability to say what when they feel like certain things are being pushed onto them. But as we have already seen, this awareness hasn’t always existed…
We’re not sure if this woman is going to space or getting a beauty treatment done… This “Glamor Bonnet” was well known in the 1940s as a device that was used to improve skin complexion. Through the use of low-atmospheric pressure, this device somehow had a positive effect on skin regeneration. Thankfully, there are better, safer, and less intense things women can do today to improve skin health.
