#40: Floating Albert Hitchock Mannequin in the Thames River, in Promotion of His Film “Frenzy”, 1972
It is no secret that creative people can be a little wacky at times… Whether they present their wackiness through their personality, their artwork, or other ways, if someone is an artist, you will know about it. However, sometimes certain artists have a tendency to take things a little bit too far… But hey, Alfred Hitchcock was never one to play it safe.
When promoting his film Frenzy, Alfred Hitchcock floated a mannequin replica of himself down the Thames river in London to tell everyone that he was coming home. Can you imagine walking past the river and thinking that you saw a dead body when really it was just a fake Alfred Hitchcock? He may have been a little crazy, but he made some great films.
