#45: From the Book “Things Worth Doing And How To Do Them” by Lina Beard, 1906
There is always something so interesting about seeing photographs of people doing things that we do today from many years ago. Even though everything looks so different, they are doing the same things that we do in our lives today… If you just ignore the clothes, the props, and the lack of cellphones, it can be easy to imagine yourself in one of the images.
Take this photograph, for example… Pictured here is a family enjoying their 4th of July celebrations in 1906. This image is taken from the book “Things Worth Doing And How To Do Them” by Lina Beard. The book was written for young ladies that were interested in pursuing activities and doing interesting things. Although it has been more than 100 years since its release, it acts as an interesting keepsake from that time period.
