We’ve all been there. We proudly bring our reusable eco bag to the grocery store, feeling like we’re saving the planet one plastic bag at a time. But then, we start shopping, and before we know it, our eco bag is filled to the brim with all kinds of wasteful products. Sure, we’ll put some fruits and veggies in there, but we’ll also grab a few bags of chips, a couple of candy bars, and a bunch of pre-packaged meals.

By the time we get to the checkout, our eco bag is so heavy that we can barely lift it. We’ll probably have to make two trips to the car anyway. Maybe it’s time to start using our eco bag as a reminder to make more mindful choices when we’re shopping and less of a way to haul home all of our guilty pleasures.
