Under Construction
The Golden Gate Bridge is an iconic landmark, but have you ever wondered what it looked like while it was under construction? Let me tell you, folks – it was a sight to behold. During the bridge’s construction in the 1930s, workers were perched high above the water, often in precarious positions. They wore hard hats, overalls, and no fear of heights.
And as for the bridge itself? Well, it was a big pile of steel beams and girders, with no sign of the familiar orange hue we know and love today. But even in its unfinished state, the bridge was an impressive feat of engineering. And who knows – maybe the workers who built it would be impressed to see the millions of tourists who flock to the bridge every year. Or maybe they’d just be happy to finally have a place to park their lunch pails.
