#29: It’s Getting Hot in Here
It is wild to me that there are still people who don’t believe in climate change, no matter how much evidence is put before them. I am convinced that data literacy is dropping like a stone around the world and people can’t figure out what the data that’s being presented actually means.
You know the type: people who are confronted with graph after graph, table after table, millions of data points showing an overall rise in worldwide temperatures, and they shrug and say, “Okay but don’t you remember how it snowed in June last year?” As though that single data point outweighs everything else.
