Helen’s Unique Approach
For library materials to be readily accessible to patrons, a clear labeling process is essential. Normally, this involves stamping the library’s name on both the item and its packaging. Yet, Helen chose a different path, innovating in a way that stood out.
While employed by Waldenbooks, Helen took a creative liberty by renaming the New Age section to ‘Blue and White Books About Light.’ This quirky rearrangement wasn’t just a practical joke; it brought a wave of laughter to her fellow librarian. Perhaps, Helen’s unconventional method was a refreshing twist.
