St. Mary’s Chapel: A Historical Witch Detention Center
Scotland, like many nations, waged a war on ‘witches’ in the 1500s, culminating in the Great Scottish Witch Hunt of the late sixteenth century. Aberdeen alone witnessed thirty-one cases, showcasing a dark period of witchcraft hysteria.
