For some reason, people tend to look back on the past with rose-colored glasses. Sure, some things might have seemed like they were in a better way, but that was largely due to everyone keeping up appearances that everything was perfect and ok. But as someone looking back at advertisements from today, that really doesn’t feel like the case.

Why would anyone try to sell a pair of pants resort to advertising them in this way? Not only does this ad look like it has nothing to do with pants, but it also turns this woman into some sort of prize. She is quite literally being pulled by five different men in different directions whilst she isn’t wearing any clothes.
