#35: Not My Choice
Well, that tweet certainly puts a unique spin on the old adage, “We all have to pay for our parent’s mistakes.” But let’s be real, who hasn’t felt this way at some point? It’s like, come on, Mom and Dad, couldn’t you have used protection just this once? Now here we are, 41 years later, dragging ourselves out of bed before the sun even thinks about rising.
But alas, we soldier on, fueled by coffee and the hope that maybe one day we’ll be the ones making the irresponsible decisions that lead to a life of leisure. We know that they weren’t choosing to intentionally ruin our lives by bringing us into the world, but it isn’t all rainbows and daisies.
