A Miracle
At that moment, the bear let go of her. She wasn’t sure why or what happened; that momentary lapse, that pause, must have been a miracle. It was the exact thing she needed in that very moment to get free. She would only have a split second to make her escape because the bear was scarily fast. She managed to pull herself to her feet with a speed she didn’t know she was capable of, and began to run across the yard back towards her door. Her heart was pounding the whole time, adrenaline fueling her. But would she escape on time?
