Hospital Discharge
On the day she was released from the hospital, she assured her workplace she would be coming back on Monday, but they told her to take her time and make sure she was fully recovered. There was no rush; they wanted her to be healthy and re-energized before she returned. She thanked them over the phone and then, finally, left the hospital with her husband as the two began to drive home. Soon, she would reunite with Smokey, her dearest companion and the one creature who had gone through the same experience as her.
