Earlier Warnings
The bear in her backyard hadn’t come completely without warning. There had been a notice earlier in the morning that a bear was sighted within the bounds of the community. People had been told to stay alert and remain at home when they were able. But there hadn’t been any update on it since then, leaving the residents to assume everything was safe and there was nothing to worry about. Lee Ann had even put the light on in the backyard to be safe, but given the lack of news, she had figured her usual evening routine wouldn’t be an issue. How wrong she had been.
